Shred Days
Visit one of our Shred Days to keep yourself secure by destroying sensitive documents, compliments of Service Credit Union. Pull right up to the large shred truck in the parking lot to dispose of your unwanted, private documents.
Acceptable Items: Papers, folders, file folders, paper clips and staples.
Not Acceptable: Hard drives, binder rings, hanging file folders, pens, batteries, cell phones, laptops, floppy discs, CDs, and biodegradable or explosive material.

Monday, April 8, 2024 – Steel Chef Challenge – Manchester, NH
The New Hampshire Food Bank’s Steel Chef Challenge, presented by Service Credit Union, returns with celebrity chef Marcus Sameulsson hosting the competition at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown Hotel. More than 650 guests will enjoy the live competition for culinary supremacy, while enjoying a top-notch dinner curated by chef Samuelsson and his staff, all to support the NH Food Bank and its programming. Monday, April 15, 2024 – 128th Boston Marathon – Boston, MA
Service Credit Union is proud to sponsor CU Kids at Heart runner and CU staff member Justin Herold and his patient partner Isla Saunders at the 128th Boston Marathon. The CU Kids at Heart runners train with and run as part of the Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) Miles for Miracles Team, raising money for the CU Kids at Heart Team’s research initiatives at BCH. Runners are paired with Patient Partners who have received care at BCH, including Isla, the daughter of Service CU’s Heidi Saunders.
Saturday, April 27, 2024 – Chicago Total Access – Berlin, NH
The St. Kieran Community Center for the Arts welcomes Chicago Total Access to its stage, sponsored by Service CU. Don’t miss New England’s premier tribute band take the stage at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available at stkieranarts.org.
Overseas
Wednesday, April 10, 2024 – USO Care Bags – KMCC
The members of the Service CU staff will assemble up to 100 care bags for single airmen stationed at the dorms on Ramstein Air Base. The activity provides airmen with snacks, toiletries, and literature regarding local German culture, as well as reference guides to help ease their transition to their new duty station overseas.
Saturday, April 13, 2024 – Month of the Military Child Kinderfest – Hohenfels
MWR in Hohenfels, in collaboration with Service Credit Union, is set to host Kinderfest in honor of the Month of the Military Child. The festivities will include music, face painting, delicious food, and a range of exciting attractions. Service Credit Union will be providing giveaways tailored for children to enrich the festive atmosphere and acknowledge the sacrifices made by military children.
Saturday, April 29 to Thursday, May 2, 2024 – Americans Working Across the Globe (AWAG) Conference – Garmisch
The annual conference at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort provides a platform for organizational leaders from across Europe to share ideas and receive training. The four-day conference will feature seminars on leadership training and professional development. As a diamond level sponsor, Service Credit Union will play a significant role in the conference, with five employees participating in networking and teaching financial wellness classes during the seminars. The conference offers a valuable opportunity for attendees to learn from and engage with experts in the field of leadership while also building their professional networks. Children’s Museum of NH Military Appreciation Program
Service CU is proud to be the Military Appreciation Program sponsor for The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. From now until Armed Forces Day, U.S. veterans and active military, and their families, will receive a 50% discount on admission.
From Armed Forces Day through Labor Day, they will receive free admission to the museum.

Recent Events
Darthmouth Health Children’s Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship
Dartmouth Health Children’s hosted the 16th annual Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship, in which firefighters, police officers and first responders from across the state of New Hampshire battled it out in one incredible competition — on and off the ice — for the kids and families of DHC. Team Police scored a 5-1 victory in front of more than 4,600 fans, with more than $200,000 raised for children with critical services.
Read Across America
Service CU staff participated in Vilseck Elementary School’s Read Across America event, in which students of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools around the world joined millions of their peers in the U.S. to celebrate the magic of books.
Southern NH KidsFest
The Southern NH KIDSFEST returned to Nashua’s YMCA Westwood Park from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The day featured games, live performances and music, a ninja course, touch-a-truck and more. Our Amherst branch was on hand, passing out giveaways and hosting a coloring table for kids of all ages.
Special Olympics NH Polar Plunge
In support of Special Olympics NH (SONH), Service CU sponsored a team of plungers for the 2024 Polar Plunge at Hampton Beach. Thousands gathered on February 4 to dive into the ocean while raising money and awareness for SONH. For the first time, 10 Service CU staff joined the fun as the credit union pledged $10,000 to the campaign.
Valentine’s Bazaar
The MWR in the Kaiserslautern Military Community held the Valentine’s Bazaar, exclusively for ID card holders. There were a wide array of European housewares, cheeses, and wines priced in USD based on the Euro exchange rate. Service CU joined the event with a spinning wheel with financial-based questions, allowing attendees to earn giveaways.
Branch Collection Drives
Service CU is always striving to give back to the communities we serve, and one way we support our friends and neighbors is through collection drives at our branches.
