The credit union will not conduct the election by ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor when the number of nominees equals the number of open positions.
Below are the three nominations, presented by Service Credit Union’s Nominating Committee. There are three nominations being presented for three Director positions.
Nominees for Service Credit Union’s Board of Directors:
Joanne Whiting, for a term of 3 years – Joanne Whiting has served on the Service Credit Union Board of Directors since 2010. She also served on the Service Credit Union Credit Committee from 2004-2005, and then was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 2005, where she served until 2010. Ms. Whiting was the Executive Vice President/Chief Advocacy Officer/General Counsel of the Wisconsin Credit Union League from September 2005 until January of 2015, when she retired. Ms. Whiting was also in private legal practice in Wisconsin, where she served credit unions and state and national credit union trade association clients.
James Fishbein, for a term of 3 years – James Fishbein has served on the Service Credit Union Board of Directors since 2015. He has also served on the Service Credit Union Credit Committee from 2001 until 2004, and the Service Credit Union Supervisory Committee from 2004 until 2015. Dr. Fishbein maintained a dental practice in Portsmouth, NH for 35 years. He received a B.A. degree from the University of New Hampshire in 1978, and a D.D.S. degree from New York University College of Dentistry in 1981. Dr. Fishbein completed a residency program at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the NH Dental Society, and participates in several continuing education study clubs. Dr. Fishbein is a past board member of the Richie McFarland Children’s Center in Stratham, NH.
Clifford N. Taylor, for a term of 3 years – Clifford N. Taylor has served on the Service Credit Union Board of Directors since 1980. Before serving on the Board of Directors, Mr. Taylor spent two years on the Supervisory Committee from 1978 to 1980. Besides his 43 years volunteering at Service Credit Union, Mr. Taylor is a past president of the Portsmouth Rotary Club and is a current Director Emeritus. He was awarded the Paul Harris Fellow by the club. He is a former president of the Portsmouth Chamber of Commerce, and also served 10 years on the Economic Development Committee. Mr. Taylor volunteered on the Board of the local Salvation Army and on the Board of Directors for the Daniel Webster Council Boy Scouts of America.
Additional Nominations by Petition:
- There may be nominations for directors by petition signed by at least 500 members, accompanied by a signed certificate with the nomination petition that they are agreeable to nomination and will serve if elected.
- One must also submit a statement of qualifications and bio with the petition, similar to the above.
