Our History

With just $300 and a few officers, Service Credit Union launched in 1957 to provide affordable credit to airmen and their families at what is now Pease Air National Guard Base. From those humble beginnings, we have grown to more than $4 billion in assets. Today, we serve anyone who has worked or is currently working for the Department of Defense, including active duty military, veterans and their families, as well as thousands of members worldwide through select employer groups.

Today, with more than 800 employees, we provide financial services at 50 walk-in locations throughout New Hampshire, North Dakota, Massachusetts and Germany.

Our members and their goals matter to us. We understand that you are trusting us with your money, time and dreams, and we take that very seriously. In fact, we’re here for our members because we share those dreams, as well as a mutual respect for the values that connect us: values such as family, community, service and financial integrity.

We’re committed to helping improve the lives of those we serve, and we value the trust bestowed upon us to help people reach their financial goals. That’s what motivates us to deliver the personalized solutions our members deserve.
