Service Credit Union is committed to supporting the communities it serves. In addition to the hundreds of nonprofits supported annually, Service Credit Union hosts several of its own initiatives making a direct impact on those in need.

STAY WARM

Keeping New Hampshire Warm Each Winter

Helping keep our community safe during the winter months, Stay Warm focuses on the most essential cold-weather item: a warm winter jacket. In 2025, Service Credit Union provided 2,505 winter jackets to 31 nonprofits and schools across New Hampshire.

PROJECT ELF

Helping Local Businesses and Families in Need

For the fourth consecutive year, Project Elf purchased toys from 11 locally owned New Hampshire toy stores and donated them to families in need during the holidays. In 2025, Service Credit Union purchased 3,480 toys and donated them to the NH State Police Toys for Tots drive, the Sabine Strong Foundation and Operation Blessing.

OPERATION BACKPACK

Delivering 2,520 Backpacks to Students in Need

Operation Backpack delivered 2,520 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students at 17 elementary schools and one intermediate school across U.S. military bases in Germany. Each bag included a glue stick, erasers, crayons, rulers, pens and pencils, ensuring that students had the basics to start the school year with confidence.

LANDSTUHL FISHER HOUSE

Care Bags and Volunteering

Each spring, staff volunteer at the Landstuhl Fisher House to refresh and beautify the grounds surrounding both houses to maintain a welcoming environment for the families they serve. In the winter, we return to assemble 1,000 emergency care bags filled with essential toiletry items for families who often arrive suddenly or from long distances with limited personal belongings.

SERVICE MONTH

Supporting Nonprofits Through Volunteering

In our inaugural Service Month in June, Service Credit Union staff attended 14 large volunteer events, helping support 12 nonprofits with vital projects. In all, 118 credit union volunteers pledged more than 370 hours to nonprofits in their communities.

Branch Collection Drives

Service Credit Union is always striving to give back to the communities we serve, and one way we support our friends and neighbors is through collection drives at our branches. In 2024, Service Credit Union branches hosted more than 50 collection drives, spent over $13,000 on wish list items and with our members’ help, donated more than 10,000 items to nonprofits in need.

In 2025, Service Credit Union branches hosted more than 50 collection drives and with our members' help, donated more 14,932 items to nonprofits in need.
