Shred Days

Visit one of our Shred Days to keep yourself secure by destroying sensitive documents, compliments of Service Credit Union. Pull right up to the large shred truck in the parking lot to dispose of your unwanted, private documents.

Acceptable Items: Papers, folders, file folders, paper clips and staples.

Not Acceptable: Hard drives, binder rings, hanging file folders, pens, batteries, cell phones, laptops, floppy discs, CDs, and biodegradable or explosive material.

Sunday, March 16, 2025 – Darthmouth Health Children’s Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship – Manchester, NH  

Dartmouth Health Children’s is hosting the 17th annual Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship, sponsored by Service CU, in which firefighters, police officers and first responders from across the state of New Hampshire will battle it out in one incredible competition — on and off the ice — for the kids and families of Dartmouth Health Children’s. Monday, March 17, 2025 – Steel Chef Challenge – Manchester, NH 

The New Hampshire Food Bank’s Steel Chef Challenge, presented by Service Credit Union, returns with celebrity chef Marcus Sameulsson hosting the competition at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester Downtown Hotel. More than 650 guests will watch the live competition for culinary supremacy, while enjoying a top-notch dinner curated by chef Samuelsson and his staff, all to support the NH Food Bank and its programming.

Saturday, March 1, 2025 – Annual Baby Expo – Stuttgart, Germany 

Service Credit Union is proud to sponsor the American Red Cross Stuttgart Station’s annual Baby Expo, supporting new and expecting parents in the USAG Stuttgart community. Held at the Panzer Firehouse from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the event will feature informational booths, presentations, games and raffle prizes.  

Saturday, March 15, 2025 – St. Patrick’s Day Boxing Invitational – Vilseck, Germany 

Service Credit Union is proud to sponsor an electrifying evening of boxing at the Memorial Fitness Center on Rose Barracks on March 15, from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. This event will feature male and female divisions across various weight classes, bringing the community together for an action-packed night of competition. Join us as we support our local athletes. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., with the opening ceremony at 4:55 p.m. and the first bout kicking off at 5:00 p.m.  

Saturday, March 15, 2025 – 5K Shamrock Shuffle – Hohenfels, Germany 

Dress in green and show your spirit at the St. Patrick’s Day Run, sponsored by Service Credit Union. Check-in starts at 9:00 a.m., with the race kicking off at 10:00 a.m. Be one of the first 50 registered to receive a t-shirt or among the first 100 finishers to earn a special event medal. Children’s Museum of NH Military Appreciation Program

Service CU is proud to be the Military Appreciation Program sponsor for The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. From now until Armed Forces Day, U.S. veterans and active military, and their families, will receive a 50% discount on admission to the museum.

During the summer months, between Armed Forces Day and Labor Day, they will receive free admission.

Special Olympics NH Penguin Plunge – Hampton, NH  

Service CU sponsored the 26th annual Special Olympics NH Penguin Plunge at Hampton Beach. This year’s theme was Alice in Wonderland, and the day featured music, food and fun all while plungers braved the cold water to raise funds for Special Olympics NH.

MWR Valentines Bazaar – Rhine Ordnance Barracks 

Hosted by Family & MWR, this three-day shopping event took place at Rhine Ordnance Barracks in Kaiserslautern, Germany. The bazaar offered visitors the opportunity to purchase European-based wares just in time for Valentine’s Day. Service CU engaged with shoppers through a spinning wheel, testing their financial knowledge.

BFit Challenge – Boston, MA 

Service CU once again sponsored the Boston Bruins Foundation BFit Challenge at TD Garden, a one-of-a-kind event that invited members of the community to walk or run the steps of TD Garden to benefit first responders and military charities.

USO’s Lucky Charm Madness – Kleber Kaserne 

Service Credit Union team members supported the USO’s Programs in a Box initiative, providing morale-boosting activities for geographically separated service members in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and Poland. This month’s Lucky Charm Madness theme included festive treats, bingo and prizes.

Family Skate Party at Puddle Dock – Portsmouth, NH 

The Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth hosted its Family Skate Party at Puddle Dock, presented by Service CU, at Strawbery Banke Museum. The event featured free food, hot cocoa, ice skating and entertainment.

Dorm Fusion Event for Single Airmen – Spangdahlem 

The Spangdahlem Intergrated Resilience Office held a dorm event for single soldiers and Service CU was on hand to provide financial wellness. The event provided Airmen the chance to engage with a variety of activities, including a vision board contest, a chili cook-off, and a Jeopardy style quiz game with questions submitted by the agencies and organizations in attendance. Service CU also provided gift cards as prizes for the many contests to reward those who participated.

Winter Fest – Concord, NH 

Service CU was excited to be a part of the Concord Winter Festival. The weekend event featured a parade, ice carving, ice sculptures, local vendors and more.

52nd Awards Ceremony – Spangdahlem 

The 52nd Mission Support Group at Spangdahlem Air Base, sponsored by Service Credit Union, celebrated exceptional accomplishments at the Q4 and 2024 Annual Awards. The event acknowledged significant service and dedication by recognizing the vital contributions of airmen to the base’s mission.  

Branch Collection Drives

Service CU is always striving to give back to the communities we serve, and one way we support our friends and neighbors is through collection drives at our branches. In 2024, Service CU branches hosted more than 50 collection drives, spent over $13,000 on wish list items and with our members’ help, donated more than 10,000 items to nonprofits in need.

All year long Service CU branches will select local nonprofits in their community and organize a collection drive of their most needed items. Click here to learn more.
