Here at Service CU, we strive to give back to the communities we serve. To help support our friends and neighbors, our U.S. branches hosted donation drives for select nonprofits in their community throughout 2023. In total, Service CU branches hosted 27 collection drives and donated 4,861 items to organizations such as food pantries, animal shelters, youth centers and more.

October Collection Drives
Service Credit Union’s Amherst Walmart branch is holding a collection drive to benefit SHARE Food Pantry, who provides support to families in need through food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and more. The drive is seeking items such as snacks, juice, and paper products.
Service Credit Union’s Portsmouth Walmart branch is holding a collection drive to benefit Linked Together, a childcare center who is working to empower children to reach their full potential by providing tools and guidance. The drive is seeking craft supplies such as glue sticks, colored paper, and pipe cleaners.
Service Credit Union’s Salem Walmart is holding a branch collection drive to benefit the Methuen SPCA at Nevins Farm, which is dedicated to the kind care of all animals. The drive is seeking items such as dog/cat food, dog/cat toys, and paper products.
Service Credit Union’s Hudson Walmart is holding a branch collection drive to benefit Operation Delta Dog, whose mission is to rescue homeless dogs and train them to be service dogs for veterans living with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Military Sexual Trauma (MST). The drive is seeking items such as dog food, dog toys, and peanut butter.
Past 2024 Collection Drives
The Laconia Branch collected 102 items for Darbster Doggy
Service Credit Union’s Laconia branch held a collection drive to benefit Darbster Doggy, an animal rescue in Chichester, NH. In conjunction with Darbster Rescue, they’ve helped save more than 2,000 dogs since 2015.
The Amherst Branch collected 234 items for Marguerite’s Place
Service Credit Union’s Amherst Walmart branch held a collection drive to benefit Marguerite’s Place, which helps the community through transitional housing, early childhood education and community programming.
The Portsmouth Branch who collected 368 items for Operation Blessing which includes 131 pounds of food
Service Credit Union’s Portsmouth branch held a collection drive to benefit Operation Blessing, who provide food, clothing and household items to those in need, as well as operate a warming center during the cold winter months.
The Falmouth Branch collected 80 items to benefit the Falmouth Service center
Service Credit Union’s Falmouth branch held a collection drive to benefit the Falmouth Service Center, which works to ease stress, reduce hunger and improve the quality of life for our neighbors in need.
The Franklin Branch collected 2 items for Three Rivers Baseball
Service Credit Union’s Franklin branch held a collection drive to benefit Three Rivers Baseball, the greater Franklin area Cal Ripken youth baseball organization.
The Gorham Branch collected 196 items for the Gorham Community Learning Center
Service Credit Union’s Gorham Walmart branch held a collection drive to benefit Gorham Community Learning Center, an accredited early education and childcare center in Gorham, NH. The GCLC offers full day childcare, preschool, summer programs, and more, with a mission to provide any child with supportive, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environments to grow and learn.
The Hampton Branch who collected 218 items for the Hampton Community Coalition
Service Credit Union’s Hampton branch held a collection drive to benefit Hampton Community Coalition, who are a community action group working to improve the health and wellbeing of Hampton Area children and families, particularly those caught in difficult life transitions or without a permanent home.
The Plymouth Branch who collected 48 items for Whole Village
Service Credit Union’s Plymouth Walmart branch held a collection drive to benefit Whole Village, who is collecting items for kids attending day and/or sleepaway camps this summer. Items donated will be placed in bags and sent home with kids to help them prepare for a fun summer experience.
The Epping Branch collected 97 items for End 68 Hours of Hunger
Service Credit Union’s Epping branch held a collection drive to benefit End 68 Hours of Hunger, who provide meals for children experiencing hunger between their free school meals on Friday and Monday.
The Portsmouth Walmart Branch collected 48 items for Dover Children’s Home
Service Credit Union’s Portsmouth Walmart branch held a collection drive to benefit Dover Children’s Home, a residential treatment program that provides support and services to some of New Hampshire’s most vulnerable and valuable youth and their families The drive is seeking items such as snacks, household items, drinks, and more.
The Manchester branch collected 240 items for Liberty House
Our Manchester branch collected 240 items for Liberty House, a community transitional program that provides substance-free housing and vital community connection to empower homeless and struggling veterans on their journey to independence and self-sufficiency.
The Hudson branch collected 98 items to benefit Family Promise of Southern NH
Our Hudson branch collected 98 items to benefit Family Promise of Southern NH, whose mission is to end homelessness one family at a time, because every child deserves a home. Through safe housing and education, Family Promise guides families as they break the cycle, and rise from homelessness to sustainable independence.
The Berlin branch collected 67 items to benefit the Conway Area Humane Society
Service Credit Union’s Berlin branch collected 67 items to benefit the Conway Area Humane Society, who is dedicated to promoting animal welfare through rescue, adoption, and education.
