Managing an Account After the Loss of a Loved One

When a Member Passes

We understand the loss of a loved one is a difficult and emotional time, and managing financial matters can add additional stress. In many cases, we can update the account to remove the deceased member and make the surviving joint owner the primary owner.

We recommend contacting our Inheritor Services team to ensure all requirements have been met. For trust accounts, beneficiary accounts, or solely owned accounts, please reach out to us directly so we can guide you through the appropriate next steps.

Please call our Inheritor Services department at: 1.800.936.7730.
