Shred Days
Visit one of our Shred Days to keep yourself secure by destroying sensitive documents, compliments of Service Credit Union. Pull right up to the large shred truck in the parking lot to dispose of your unwanted, private documents.
Acceptable Items: Papers, folders, file folders, paper clips and staples.
Not Acceptable: Hard drives, binder rings, hanging file folders, pens, batteries, cell phones, laptops, floppy discs, CDs, and biodegradable or explosive material.

Saturday, October 11, 2025 – Somersworth Pumpkin Festival – Somersworth, NH
The Somersworth Festival Association is hosting its annual Pumpkin Festival from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Somersworth Plaza. Service CU is sponsoring the Scarecrow-making area and credit union volunteers will be on hand to help attendees build the best scarecrows.
Saturday, October 18, 2025 – RiverFire – Berlin, NH
Androscoggin Valley Chamber of Commerce’s annual RiverFire features fun, family-oriented activities such as live music, hayrides, helicopter rides, costume parades and a zombie ATV poker run, ending with spectacular fires on the water at dusk. The gates of the Service Credit Union Heritage Park will open to activities and vendors for visitors of all ages. Admission to the park is free.
Saturday, October 18, 2025 – NH Brewfest – Hampton, NH
Service CU is the presenting sponsor of the 17th Annual New Hampshire Brewfest, at Smuttynose Brewery, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. NH’s premier event for craft brewers from throughout New England, proceeds support both Prescott Park Arts Festival and the New England District of the Master Brewers Association of Americas (MBAA) scholarship fund. Sunday, October 5, 2025 – USO Fall Fest – Ansbach
The USO will host its annual Fall Fest at Katterbach Boardwalk, offering a full day of free family fun with games, crafts, and giveaways for all ages. Families can enjoy hands-on activities and entertainment designed to bring the community together. Service Credit Union is proud to support this event by providing family-friendly giveaways and donating the event cake.
Saturday, October 18, 2025 USO Fall Fest – Kaiserslautern
Military families in Kaiserslautern will gather at Pulaski Park for the USO’s Annual Fall Fest, a seasonal tradition filled with Halloween fun and fall-themed activities. With music by DJ Nola, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, a photo booth, and plenty of costumes, the event creates a lively and festive atmosphere for all ages. Service CU is excited to be part of the celebration by hosting a table onsite and engaging with community members throughout the day.

Children’s Museum of NH Military Appreciation Program
Service CU is proud to be the Military Appreciation Program sponsor for The Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. From now until Armed Forces Day, U.S. veterans and active military, and their families, will receive a 50% discount on admission to the museum.
During the summer months, between Armed Forces Day and Labor Day, they will receive free admission.

Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show
Service CU was the proud sponsor of Patriot Plaza at the 2025 Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show at Pease Air National Guard Base. Spanning more than 51 acres, Patriot Plaza featured dozens of aircraft displays, dining, concessions, souvenirs, commercial exhibits, and a variety of premium seating options. The Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show delivered a weekend full of heart-pounding air performances and family-friendly activities.


End of Summer Car Show – Kaiserslautern, Germany
USAG Rheinland-Pfalz Family and MWR hosted an End of Summer Car Show at Pulaski Park where car enthusiasts enjoyed a showcase of unique vehicles. Car owners competed for trophies in five categories, including Best BMW, Best American, Best JDM, Best European, and Best Overall Car of the Show.


Lebfest – Lebanon, NH
Lebfest took over Colburn Park with an event that highlighted and celebrated the greater Upper Valley communities and was presented by the Upper Valley Business Alliance and the Lebanon Recreation, Arts and Parks Department. Free and open to the public, Lebfest offered children’s activities, music, food trucks, and a tasting competition featuring local restaurants.


Ramstein Bazaar – Ramstein Air Base, Germany
The Ramstein Bazaar returned for its 61st year, bringing together vendors from across Europe for the largest bazaar of its kind. Since 1964, this annual tradition has been a highlight for the Kaiserslautern Military Community, offering unique treasures, handcrafted goods, gourmet treats, international food, and plenty of fun for the whole family. The Ramstein Bazaar is more than just shopping, it’s a celebration of community, culture, and connection. Service CU was on site with a table, handing out shopping bags to help shoppers carry home their finds.


Backpack Packing Donation Project – OS Headquarters, Germany
For the first time, Service Credit Union volunteers participated in an Overseas Backpack Donation Packing Project, helping students start the school year prepared and equipped. 19 Service CU volunteers sorted through 105 boxes of backpacks and 58 boxes of school supplies, organizing a total of 2,520 backpacks and 2,520 school supply sets. These items will be donated to 17 overseas U.S. military elementary schools across the U.S. military footprint in Germany. The event ran from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., highlighting the dedication of Service CU and the community to supporting military families and ensuring children have the tools they need for a successful school year.


National Night Out
Service CU was proud to be in communities across New Hampshire during National Night Out, a nationwide campaign that promoted partnerships between police and the neighborhoods they serve. Our teams participated in 10 events across the state, connecting with families, sharing resources, and supporting the communities we call home.


New England BIPOC Festival
Service CU was the presenting sponsor of the annual New England BIPOC Festival. This year’s event took place at Strawbery Banke Museum to celebrate food, art, culture, and community. Through celebration and joy, BIPOC Fest united a wide array of community members to enjoy foods, art, and music that highlighted the rich and diverse histories that make up New England.


USO Sun and Fun – Kaiserslautern & Grafenwoehr
Service Credit Union supported the USO Sun and Fun events in Kaiserslautern (August 9) and Grafenwoehr (August 16), celebrating the end of summer with the community. These family-friendly events were packed with music, activities, and good vibes as families enjoyed live performances, DJs, free food, and fun for all ages—including games, playground access, and carnival silliness such as a dunk tank. Service CU was on site at both locations with an information table and giveaways, connecting with the community and helping families wrap up the summer in style.


Branch Collection Drives
Service CU is always striving to give back to the communities we serve, and one way we support our friends and neighbors is through collection drives at our branches. In 2024, Service CU branches hosted more than 50 collection drives, spent over $13,000 on wish list items and with our members’ help, donated more than 10,000 items to nonprofits in need.
All year long Service CU branches will select local nonprofits in their community and organize a collection drive of their most needed items. Click here to learn more.
