ABOUT US

We’re in this together

Welcome to Service Credit Union. We’re committed to personalized service that goes above and beyond what you’ll find at any other financial institution. We know that every member has different financial needs, and we’re ready to provide the unique services and resources you need to reach your goals.

We combine the warmth and attention of a credit union with the security of a big bank—and we’re committed to always looking out for you. By establishing strong relationships in the communities we serve and supporting our members’ individual needs, we provide a banking experience that improves our members’ lives, as well as the communities in which they live.

Our Mission

Doing what is right for our members by:

  • Improving financial well-being,
  • Supporting communities we serve, and
  • Creating value and enduring relationships.

Our Vision

Utilizing cooperative principles, we will be a trusted partner providing services and resources that optimize the financial well-being of our members while contributing to the communities in which they live.

Our History

Service Credit Union was established in 1957 to support military personnel and their families at what was then Pease Air Force Base in New Hampshire. Since then, we have grown to serve members all over the world, including at more than 50 walk-in locations in New Hampshire, North Dakota, Massachusetts and Germany.

Service and community are at the core of what we do. We take pride in always being prepared for our members, empowering our staff and innovating for the future.

Board of Directors

As a nonprofit financial institution, Service Credit Union is overseen by a volunteer board of directors from within the communities we serve. Board members are nominated by Service Credit Union’s membership at large and voted on by members at our annual meeting. Our Board of Directors then appoint our Supervisory Committee.

The Credit Union Difference

Credit unions are based on the belief that by pooling resources, communities can achieve a better standard of living. Our not-for-profit service model benefits members with lower loan rates, fewer fees and higher savings rates.

Annual Reports

We are proud to show Service Credit Union’s continued growth in our annual reports, which contain complete statements of our credit union’s financial condition, incomes, reserves and retained earnings.

Bylaws

Service Federal Credit Union is chartered by the NCUA. Our Bylaws are approved by our Board and the NCUA, and they contain the general rules for operating the credit union.
