Please be vigilant of new scams that involve transferring money to family members.
We have been informed of a scam in which perpetrators show up to homes claiming a family member is in distress and needs money urgently, asking to take the person to the bank to retrieve funds. These scams are particularly focused on senior citizens as targets. If this happens to you or someone you know, please notify the police immediately.
