Mark O’Dell, Vice President of Lending at Service Credit Union, has been named the 2022 New Hampshire Business Review Business Excellence Award recipient in the category of Financial Services, large business.

NHBR’s Business Excellence Awards is an annual awards program that recognizes the achievements of business owners and operators in New Hampshire.

2022 marks the 20th anniversary of NHBR honoring the imagination, industriousness, innovation and achievements of business owners and operators in New Hampshire. This year’s awards ceremony will be held on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 at the Grappone Conference Center in Concord.

O’Dell, who joined Service Credit Union in 2020, was recognized for his efforts to innovate and enhance member experience when it comes to lending. This includes launching a centralized lending program at the organization, onboarding technology vendors to expand credit access and make it more inclusive, and diversifying the organization’s residential mortgage channels to serve more members. In 2021, O’Dell also helped establish a lending team dedicated to small businesses. The hard work of this team was recently recognized by the NH SBA, who named them Best Small Business Lender in 2021.

Originally from Illinois, O’Dell was previously VP-Residential Lending at Alliant Credit Union in Chicago in addition to a number of other lending leadership roles at companies including NB&T and JP Morgan Chase. Throughout his career, he has dedicated himself to bringing innovation and real-world solutions to the financial services industry.
