David Widener Named AVP of Innovation and Analytics
Service Credit Union has hired David Widener, formerly Chief Technology Officer at MyHealthMath, as Assistant Vice President of Innovation and Analytics. The credit union has also named Scott Alward as its new Manager of Fraud; and promoted Whitney Mendonca from Assistant Manager of Training to Manager of Organizational Development, and Jonathan Millett from UNH Branch Manager to Manager of Stateside Training. Sarah Liles will replace Millett as manager of the UNH branch.
Widener joins Service CU after nearly two years at Portland, Maine-based insurtech startup MyHealthMath, where he led the launch of the company’s first-ever SaaS (software-as-a-service) product offering and built the organization’s development, data analytics, project management, information security, and business analysis functions from the ground up. His role is a new position at Service CU designed to create excellence through innovation and analytics.
“Dave is an experienced leader of Analytics with an Innovation mindset, which is critical to drive insights and experimentation across the organization. We are building a date driven analytics practice to foster innovation,” said Geoff Gilton, Senior Vice President of Technology at Service Credit Union.
Alward joins Service Credit Union from New Hampshire Federal CU, and previously worked at Northeast Credit Union and Fidelity Investments. His role focuses on managing the credit union’s day to day fraud prevention and investigation operations, including the development and implementation of new initiatives.
Mendonca makes the move to Manager of Organizational Development after joining Service CU in 2010 as a Member Services Representative, then joining the Training Department. Organizational Development is a new division of the credit union’s employee training department that will lead the design and implementation of an employee development program. Millett moves to the Training Department as a manager after joining in 2010 as well, as a financial services representative at the Newington branch. Since then, he has held roles as a loan service representative, member service supervisor and assistant branch manager. Liles was most recently assistant manager of the UNH branch before her promotion to manager.
