Service Credit Union Celebrates Grand Opening of New Rochester Branch

Service Credit Union marked the grand opening of its new Rochester, NH branch with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday, September 14. The event was attended by members of Service CU’s team as well as Rochester Mayor Caroline McCarley, School Superintendent Kyle Repucci, Rochester Chamber President Laura Ring and other members of the chamber.

The grand opening marked the move of Service CU’s former Rochester branch, located at 90 South Main St., to a new location across the street at 83 South Main St. The new space retains the same staff and operating hours as before, and features many updated, modern touches, as well as the addition of a drive-up window.

“As the needs of our membership continue to evolve, we knew we needed a space that reflected these changes. We’re excited to offer members a more digital-focused experience and an environment that serves as more of a ‘financial wellness center,’ not just a place to do transactions,” said Service CU President-CEO David Araujo. “We look forward to using this new space to improve members’ overall financial well-being, and plan for it to be a template for future branches.”

The grand opening ceremony culminated in a donation to Rochester schools that will help cover digital learning services, including technology necessary for remote learning.

“On behalf of the teachers, students and families of Rochester, I want to thank Service Credit Union for their generous donation and support to our school system,” said Repucci. “Their timely gift will allow our school community to focus on teaching and learning at a time when we’ve come to rely heavily on digital classroom technology while also having to be incredibly mindful of demands on our budget during an unprecedented school year.”

The donation to Rochester public schools helps ensure that no child gets behind in this especially challenging school year,” added Service CU VP-Marketing Wendy Beswick.

Service Credit Union’s Rochester branch is open Monday to Wednesday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
